Read your YouTube channel performance from the chat where you run your ads
Tecrube connects YouTube inside Claude or ChatGPT, next to the ad accounts you already manage there. It reads the channel list with subscribers and total views, views and watch time for the period you choose, the most-watched videos and how viewers found them. Everything here is read-only. Buying YouTube ads runs through Google Ads video campaigns, and you can build and change those from the same chat.

What you can do
Channel numbers without opening Studio
Subscribers, total views and video count for every channel on the connected account, then views and watch time for the period you ask about. It does not expect you to wander a dashboard and combine numbers yourself; it answers the question you asked.
Which videos earn the watch time
The most-watched videos for a period, with views, watch time and averages. For what YouTube shows next, watch time matters more than view count, and it is exactly what gets skipped because view count is easier to find.
How viewers found the video
Traffic sources split by type: YouTube search, suggested videos, external sites, playlists, subscriptions. A video carried by suggestions behaves differently from one carried by search and calls for a different next move.
Organic and paid in one chat
Because YouTube sits in the same chat as Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, TikTok and LinkedIn, you compare what your channel earns organically with what your video campaigns pay for without exporting anything.
Read-only by design
The YouTube connection only reads. It does not upload, edit, delete or publish, and it does not touch comments. Nothing on your channel changes because you asked a question about it.
YouTube ads live in Google Ads
Video campaigns that place ads on YouTube are bought through Google Ads, and those are fully manageable here: build the campaign, set budget and bids, pause what is underperforming. Every write is previewed before it is applied.
Set up in 60 seconds
Add the connector
In Claude go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector; in ChatGPT enable developer mode. Paste https://mcp.tecrube.com/mcp.
Sign in with Google and authorise the account
A hosted OAuth screen opens; you authorise the ad account you want to connect once. No API keys, tokens or server setup.
Ask in plain English
Type “show me the last 7 days” and the numbers come back in seconds. Any command that changes something returns a preview first.
Ask in plain English
- How did my YouTube channel do over the last 30 days? Summarise subscribers, views and watch time.
- Which videos earned the most watch time last month?
- Where do viewers find my best video: search, suggestions or external sites?
- Compare my organic YouTube views with my Google Ads video campaign spend for the same period.
- Has my subscriber growth changed since the campaign started?
- List videos from the last 90 days with low views but high average watch time.
Frequently asked questions
The channel list with subscribers, total views and video count; views and watch time for a period; the most-watched videos with their averages; and the traffic sources showing how viewers found each video. That is the whole read surface.
No. The YouTube connection is entirely read-only. It does not upload, retitle, delete or publish, and it does not touch comments. If you want a change on the channel you make it in YouTube Studio.
YouTube ads are bought through Google Ads video campaigns, not the YouTube account. Those campaigns are fully managed here: setup, budget, bids and pausing. Every write runs as a preview (dry-run) first and nothing is applied without your approval. Budget increases are capped at 50% per step, and every applied change is written to an audit log.
No. YouTube is part of the same link as Google Ads, Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager and Business Profile. One connector, one plan.
Because a view can be three seconds. Watch time shows whether people stayed and is closer to what the recommendation system reacts to. A video with few views but markedly high watch time is usually the one worth replicating.
Not directly from YouTube data; it reports views and watch time, not conversions. What you can do in the same chat is compare periods against your ad and analytics data and see whether channel activity lines up with the outcomes you care about.
The same way as the rest of the connector: paste https://mcp.tecrube.com/mcp into Claude or ChatGPT, sign in with Google and say you want to connect YouTube. The permission requested is read-only channel and video reporting. It also works in other MCP-capable apps such as Cursor.
The free trial starts with 75 credits; they never expire and no card is required. Pro is $49 a month (5,000 credits a month, every platform); Agency is $99 a month (unlimited credits, MCC and multi-account). Yearly billing is $499 and $999; cancel whenever you like.
