Connecting ChatGPT Ads
Connect your in-ChatGPT ad accounts with an OpenAI Ads API key; campaign list, performance report, budget and status changes from chat.
Why an API key?
ChatGPT Ads currently works with an Ads API key rather than OAuth; the key is generated in OpenAI's ads panel and covers one ad account. With several accounts you add one key per account. The key is entered only in the panel and stored encrypted; it is never written to the assistant or the chat.
Steps
- Create an Ads API key for your account in OpenAI's ads panel.
- Connections › ChatGPT Ads › Connect and paste the key.
- Verify the account name, currency and review status with
list_openai_ads_accounts.
What you can do
Campaign list and performance report are read; daily budget and pause/enable changes go through preview → approval and can be undone. Full list: ChatGPT Ads tools.
