Tecrube vs Supermetrics: move the data, or change the account?
By its own positioning, Supermetrics is a marketing data platform: it collects data from ad, analytics and other marketing sources and delivers it to Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel, BI tools and data warehouses. Plenty of agencies run their reporting on it, and it is good at that job.
Tecrube answers a different question: what happens once the report points at a problem? It connects your ad accounts to Claude or ChatGPT, answers in the chat, shows every change as a preview first and applies it only with your approval. That is why the two usually sit side by side rather than replace each other.

Start from the job, not the brand
Most people comparing these tools are really choosing between two jobs. The first is getting marketing data out of the platforms and into a place you trust: a dashboard, a spreadsheet, a warehouse. The second is acting on what that data says. Supermetrics and most of its alternatives are built for the first job; Tecrube is built for the second.
- Need blended reporting, history you own or client dashboards? You are shopping for a data platform.
- Is the slow part opening five ad platforms after the report and making the change by hand? That is the job Tecrube takes on.
Sending data to an assistant is not the same as acting
Data platforms increasingly let marketing data reach AI assistants too; see Supermetrics' own documentation for its current destinations. That helps with analysis, but it is still delivery: the assistant can describe what happened, and someone still has to make the change. Reading data and holding account permissions are two separate things.
Tecrube hands the assistant the account tools themselves and puts all of them behind an approval gate. The conversation ends with an applied change, not a summary.
What Tecrube actually changes
Changes go through each platform's own API, and only as far as the connected account allows:
- Google Ads: budgets, pause and resume, bid strategies, adding and removing negative keywords, Search and Performance Max campaigns (RSA, keywords, targeting), sitelink and callout extensions, conversion actions
- Meta Ads: budgets, pause and resume, bid strategies, ad set updates and duplication, website and lookalike audiences, carousel and video ads, campaigns published after approval
- Microsoft Advertising: campaigns, ad groups, keywords, bid strategy, targeting, conversion goals and UET tags
- TikTok and LinkedIn Ads: campaigns, ad groups or campaign groups, ads, budgets, status and audiences
- Tag Manager and GA4: tags, triggers, version publishing, conversion events
Every write is previewed first
Each change arrives first as a preview naming the account, the item, the current value and the new value. Nothing is applied without your approval, and the approval gate runs on the server, not in the chat.
- Budget increases capped at 50% per step and at double within 24 hours
- Every action in the audit log with the old value kept; budget changes, pause/resume, going live and added negative keywords are reversed on the platform itself with one sentence or “Undo” in the panel; changes with no reverse, such as a permanent removal, cannot be undone, and Tecrube says so clearly
- Optional approval policy and spend guard: daily or monthly ceiling, target CPA
- If a platform is not connected or lacks write permission, Tecrube says so instead of inventing numbers
Next to Supermetrics, not instead of it
There is no warehouse to provision, no schema to map and no refresh schedule to maintain. You paste one address into Claude or ChatGPT, sign in with Google and authorise your accounts; about 60 seconds. If your reporting runs on Supermetrics, keep it: the dashboard keeps reporting, and Tecrube handles the day-to-day changes.
Frequently asked questions
It depends on the job you are replacing. For the same job, moving marketing data into dashboards, sheets and warehouses, compare data platforms such as Funnel, Coupler.io or Windsor.ai on sources, destinations and price. If what you want is for the campaign to change after the report, that is a different category, and Tecrube is built for it.
Not for reporting. Tecrube does not move data into dashboards or warehouses. What it replaces is the manual step after the report, when someone opens the ad platforms and applies the decision by hand. Many teams keep both.
Reading is analysis; changing the account needs platform permissions and a safe way to use them. Tecrube connects the account with those permissions and puts every write behind a preview, an approval and the audit log.
No. Every write is previewed first and applied only after you approve it. Read-only questions run straight away because they change nothing. With an approval policy you can choose whether small actions apply automatically or you are always asked.
Yes. Authorise once with the manager account and switch clients inside the chat; the approval gate and audit log apply in every account. The Agency plan has no credit limit.
75 free credits that never expire, no card needed. Pro is $49 per month and Agency $99 per month. Looking at the panel uses no credits.
