Connecting Google Ads

Connect your Google Ads account with OAuth, switch between client accounts under an MCC, and use all 109 tools from reports to campaign setup.

Before you start

Have these ready before you start the connection:

  • A Google account with Standard or Admin access to the Google Ads account.
  • Agencies can sign in with an MCC (manager account); client accounts are listed automatically.
  • Write tools may be rejected by Google on brand-new accounts without billing set up.

Connection

  1. Connections › Google Ads › Connect.
  2. Pick the right account on Google's consent screen and approve the scope Tecrube asks for.
  3. If you have several accounts, choose the active one in the panel or with select_google_ads_account.

list_google_ads_accounts lists every account the connected Google user can reach, including client accounts under an MCC, with id, currency and time zone. select_google_ads_account chooses the client account to work in; the right login-customer-id is set automatically. The selection is local; nothing changes on Google.

First requests

To verify the connection and see the first value, type these to your assistant in order:

List the search terms that brought no conversions in the last 30 days.

The first request verifies the connection, the second brings a read report, the third runs account_audit for a prioritised issue list. From there you can:

Performance, device, quality score, search terms, change history, keyword planner.

Setup

Search and Performance Max campaigns, ad groups, RSAs, extensions (sitelinks, callouts), conversion actions.

Optimisation

Budget, bid strategy, location targets, ad schedule, negative keywords, IP exclusions, Google recommendations.

Troubleshooting
